 Nader Elguindi is an expert on motivation, personal choice, and overcoming obstacles. As a U.S. Navy Submarine Officer, he overcame a terrible accident that caused the loss of his right leg. He went on to become the first nuclear submariner to complete qualifications with a prosthetic, and finish his tour of duty. In spite of this the Navy found him unfit to serve. Denny Hammack thought he came to Charlotte from Martinsville, Virginia to be in banking. As it turned out, his position at First Union was the stepping stone that introduced him to a fellow Virginian and owner of Patterson Business Systems. Denny helped grow the business, formed a new ownership group, and succeeded his friend as CEO when he retired.
